A reminder that no dogs are allowed on school or CBE premises. This is both a CBE Administrative Regulation and a City of Calgary Responsible Pet Ownership Bylaw. Your compliance with this matter keeps all students, staff and community members safe while at Varsity Acres.

Physical Education
Dear Parent(s) and Guardians:
We will begin our gymnastics unit in Physical Education on January 12, 2026, running through February 6th, 2026. This unit is part of your child’s regular Physical Education programming.
Our schedule dates for PE are as follows:
- January 12, 15, 21, 27
- February 2, 5
As we begin our gymnastics unit this month, please help ensure your child is prepared for safe participation by following these guidelines:
- Clothing: Wear comfortable, movement-friendly clothing (sweatpants/joggers/leggings and a t-shirt).
- Tight-fitting clothing is preferred, so nothing gets caught on equipment.
- Jewelry: We kindly recommend that all jewelry be left at home on gymnastics days—watches, rings, necklaces, and dangling/hoop earrings. Any items that must stay on will be safely taped.
- Hair: Long hair should be tied back. Please send hair elastics.
- Barefoot Participation: Students will participate barefoot. No footed tights, dresses, or skirts, please.
- Grip Socks: Socks with full-sole grip (rubberized dots) are allowed.
- Foot Concerns: Students with foot injuries or health issues (e.g., plantar warts) may wear clean indoor shoes not used outdoors. Please check your child’s feet regularly. Message me directly should this apply to your child.
Thank you for your continued support in supporting our Physical Education program at VAS!
