One way parents/guardians can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on our school’s parent society. Parent societies are a formal group of parents, incorporated under the Societies Act for the purpose of raising funds for the school. A society is a separate legal entity from the school council. More information can be found in our CBE Administrative Regulation 5001 – School Councils and School/Parent Societies.

About Our Parent Society
Our Parent Society is Known as the Varsity Acres School Parent Fundraising Society
The Varsity Acres School Parent Fundraising Society (VASPFS) is a collection of parents who organize internal fundraisers (Admazing Savings Coupon Book, Halloween Dance, Purdy’s Chocolates) and an external Casino Fundraiser.
We exist to create a sense of community and proceeds to pay for additional expenses that enhance our school curriculum, including busing for field trips, internal cultural shows, literacy supplies, musical instruments, outdoor school, Phys. Ed. equipment, technology equipment, and artist residencies. Due to Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), you need to subscribe online to receive electronic messages from the school pertaining to any fundraising information or messages from VASPFS about events.
