This spring, a group of Varsity Acres students participated in the Alberta Elementary School Track & Field Championships. We could not be prouder of the effort, determination, and sportsmanship they displayed throughout the day. This event was open to all students in Grades 3-5.

Competing against 46 schools from across Alberta, VAS finished:

🥉 3rd Overall School
🥇 1st Overall Girls' Team
🥉 3rd Overall Boys' Team

These results are certainly worth celebrating, but even more exciting was seeing so many students challenge themselves and represent our school community with pride.

A huge thank you to our families for supporting their children and helping make participation possible. Events like these are truly a team effort.

Looking ahead, we are already planning for next year. Additional track and field equipment has been ordered and will be incorporated into our regular Physical Education programming so that all students can continue developing foundational skills, confidence, and a love of movement. We are also exploring the possibility of a Track & Field Club to help interested students prepare for future competitions.
