Parent-Teacher Conferences

The conference booking system will be open for booking November 23 at 8 am.  Booking is done through your parent MyCBE account.  For instructions, please see the Parent MyCBE instructions under helpful links above.  Students are highly encouraged to attend with their parents.

  • Nov 28 (Thursday), kindergarten conferences during the day, Grades K-5 during the evening
  • Nov 29 (Friday), Grades K-5 during the morning.
  • Please note: Kindergarten teachers are not able to meet (together) with families. Please ensure you book with your child's contact teacher (only) when booking your conference (reminder, this is the teacher that first emailed you at the beginning of the school year).

​​​​​​​Reporting to parents occurs four times per year.  This is the first official reporting time.  Report Cards will be available through your parent MyCBE account in January and June.  A second conference will be held in March.

Music and Physical Education Parent-Teacher Conferences

Please note that parent-teacher conferences for Music with Mme Forbes and Physical Education with M. David will be Drop In sessions available at the following times: 

  • Thursday, November 28:
    • Music: 3:30-5:00pm and 5:30-7:30pm 
    • Phys Ed: 3:30-5:00pm and 5:30-7:30pm
  • Friday, November 29:
    • Phys Ed: 8:00am- 12:00pm

Youth Singers Concert, Grades 3-5

Parents/Guardians of students in Grades 3-5 are invited to our concert on Friday, December 6 at 6:00 pm

Due to limited space and seating, a limit of 2 guests per student are invited to watch the performance.

Please note, all VAS students will have had a chance to see the performance during the day.

Mayors Annual Christmas Food Drive – Participation in Varsity Acres School’s contribution is 100% voluntary for families

Varsity Acres School is proud to support the Mayor's Annual Christmas Food Drive in support of the Calgary Food Bank.  This year we will be collecting donations from November 18-Dec. 16, 2024. Food donations can be sent in with your child and will be placed in the boxes in our main hallway. Monetary donations can be handed in to your child's classroom teacher in an envelope (to be collected at the office).

Traffic Safety

A reminder about traffic and parking safety around our school:

  • Please DO NOT park within 5 metres of a crosswalk (city bylaw)
  • Model good traffic safety to your child by crossing at the crosswalk
  • U-Turns are NOT permitted in several locations around our school; please pay special attention to the areas around cross-walks and our bus loading zones
  • Our AMA patrols are out on Valiant Dr and Varsity Dr in the afternoons.
