Physical Education
Dear VAS Community,
A huge thank you to all of our parent volunteers and dedicated teachers at VAS who helped facilitate a successful, fun, and engaging learning experience for our Grade 4 and 5 students at WinSport. The students did a fantastic job skiing and snowboarding, and we are incredibly proud of their efforts and improvements.
We also want to extend a big thank you to our wonderful lunch supervisory team, who helped compile all the necessary permission slips for this trip. Their work played a crucial role in making the ski trip possible, and we are grateful for their support.
To the VAS classes impacted by the modified schedules for WinSport, we greatly appreciate your flexibility. Your willingness to adjust your non-instructional breaks to a later date allowed our Grade 4 and 5 students to have this valuable learning opportunity. Thank you for your understanding and support.
Looking ahead, during the week of March 10-14, Grade 1-3 parents will receive a package regarding our upcoming swimming unit. Please ensure the forms are returned as soon as possible so we can properly place students with instructors based on their skill level. For parents interested in volunteering, please email me at dapakosh@cbe.ab.ca as your support in organizing students in the lobby and change rooms at Sir Winston Churchill Aquatic Centre will ensure that it progresses smoothly.
Kind regards,
M. David
